The Circle Project
This new set of piano pieces both follows and breaks tradition. I am loosely following the Preludes and Fugues structure from Bach, Shostakovich and others, but I am breaking the rules of conventional harmonic movement. My aim is that the listener need not be aware of the cyclical harmonic patterns and just appreciate the music for what it is, but those with a bit of curiosity and knowlege could try to crack the numerous puzzles and hidden structures within.
